Privacy Policy
GoBizSchool is operated by Yash Jindal, a sole proprietor in India, who is responsible for your personal data under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. This policy explains what we collect and why.
What we collect
- Account: your name and email address from Google, or your email address if you sign in with an email code.
- Profile and settings: time zone, workspace preferences (program, intake, country), saved schools, default reminder channels and application statuses you record.
- WhatsApp: the number you verify and when you agreed to receive reminders.
- Reminders: what you ask to be reminded about, when, and delivery results.
- Billing: your plan, subscription status and payment references. Card, UPI and bank details are handled by Razorpay; we never see or store them.
- Trial abuse prevention: a one-way hashed fingerprint of the IP address used to start a free trial. We do not store the IP address itself.
- Browser storage: sign-in session and guest preferences in your browser's local storage. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
Why we use it
- To run your account, send the reminders you schedule, and send service emails (receipts, failed payments, renewal notices, date changes).
- To send the weekly digest, only if you turn it on.
- To prevent abuse and keep the service secure.
- To understand usage in aggregate (for example, how many members set a reminder). We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
Who processes it for us
- Supabase (database and sign-in), Cloudflare (website hosting)
- Google (sign-in), Razorpay (payments), Resend (email delivery), Meta (WhatsApp messages)
Some of these providers store data outside India. They process it only to provide their service to us.
How long we keep it
We keep your data while your account exists. When you delete your account, your profile, reminders, preferences and saved schools are deleted immediately. Message and billing records are kept without your identity where we need them for accounting, tax or fraud prevention.
Your rights
- Access and export: Account → Profile → Download my data.
- Correction: edit your profile and settings at any time.
- Deletion: Account → Profile → Delete my account.
- Withdraw consent: remove your WhatsApp number or turn off the digest at any time.
- Grievances: email ykjindal4@gmail.com. We reply within 7 days and resolve within 30.
Children
GoBizSchool is meant for people applying to graduate business programs. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 18 without a parent's or guardian's consent.
Changes
We will post updates here with a new date and email members about material changes.
